We recently started a project on affordable acoustic panels. We will offer these through our Bonney Lake Washington home theater business. We have priced and purchased a few different ones online only due to the fact that none are carried that we can find that don’t need shipped. Shipping can run quite a lot due to size and weight. Room treatments are worth having and make a big difference. We are going to build no expense spared sound absorption panels and bass traps that will out perform and cost less than the ones you will find online.
The biggest problem with room treatments is how they look in your room. If you have a dedicated media room its not as crucial. But if this is going in the only living room in the house and you have a wife who nervously keeps a close eye on decorations within your prized man space, this can be an issue. We kicking around the idea of adding real wood trims and possibly silk screening the front of the panels with pictures of choice. This will give your room treatments less of a square box on the wall look and more of living room feel. The wife will love it! Well maybe.
